Is Anybody Out There?
In the Lewiston, ME area. Driving squad car 613. I haven't been able to raise anyone on the radio. It is really bad out there. I cannot get anywhere near the station right now. Heading over to the high school to see if survivors made it there. Sitting outside Saint Mary's Medical Center, the hospitals are really bad. I cannot stay long, my sat comm comes and goes, police services are down. I'm not far from the high school now, if I have a signal I'll let you know if this is a good rendezvous point. Low on ammo too. I need backup. Is anybody there?

This is officer Carl Sykes over in Danville. Things are bad here too. I'll try to make it, but I'm low on fuel and ammo. I will come the long way around. There was a big accident on the turnpike and you do not want to cross there. No way for a car to get through anyway.
ReplyDeleteCarl, did you make it across the river? Is your radio working? I've been trying to reach you. I haven't been keeping it on so I can preserve battery. I need to get back to the high school soon so I'll turn it on again at 5PM. There are people at the high school. We've barricaded ourselves in the cafeteria. If you make it here, come in through the loading bay. We try to keep that clear and the dead seem to all want to come in the other side. Some of them are just sitting in classrooms. Be safe.

Carl, I can only assume you did not make it. I will put on my radio at 4PM for 20 minutes each day. We had an incident here. Quite a few of the teens bolted, it didn't end well. There are six still here, and their teacher Miss Margaret. They are a pretty motley crew. Their names are Todd, Josh, Sandra, Jeff, Tabitha, and Kal. I've been watching them, Kal seems to be the leader but he has it bad for Tabitha and she's a real player. You know the type, acts like she's an adult but with the emotional temperament of a child.I'm pretty sure she was flirting with me. Kids.
ReplyDeleteThere are a few other survivors here, but very few guns. The kids all have bats and iron pipe. I saw Tabitha lay the beat down on a runner. If I can get back on police services I will see if she has any priors.
We've discovered that the only way to kill them permanently is to destroy their brains. Wish I had known that earlier.
If anyone is reading this, bring ammo.
Stan, I realize you might not get this. I have managed to find shelter. It is crazy out there. I almost had to abandon my squad car. Now that there is some power can you let me know that the high school is still safe to rendezvous at?
