Extended Internet Outage Ends

As many of you have realized there has been some event on the Western Seaboard that seems to have taken its toll on the internet infrastructure. Rumors that the Columbia reactor in Washington state has had a meltdown are completely unsubstantiated at this point. But we can say with confidence that the military has made nuclear power plants a priority. We know this because of the limited communications we have had with the national guard. You have likely seen their helicopters flying over Lewiston. They were impressed that we had maintained power and regretted not being able to extract our hydro crew. Here is what we know:

  • There are safe zones set up in the Appalachians and in Florida. There are others but those are the ones that are closest to us. They recommend that we approach safe zones with caution, many are surrounded by mines and other defensive devices. An orange safe path through the mine fields will help you, but mines set off near the safe path have been known to cause considerable collateral damage. These safe zones monitor the radio frequency 3791 kHz, get close and call them to escort you in safely.
  • The military recommends staying put for now. They are working on improving information infrastructures so that they can better track efforts to restore our country. Until this essential work is done there will be no extractions.
  • Martial law has been imposed for the duration of this crisis. The US has recalled all troops and deployed the National Guard. You are to give full cooperation to any US military personnel. We have assurances from General Frank D. Field that every effort is being made to restore our freedoms and democracy.
  • The news from beyond our country is bleak. But once we have restored America we will be in a better position to help the rest of the world.
  • Some cities have had to be sacrificed. For those with relatives in New York, Los Angeles, Houston, Phoenix, Dallas, San Antonio, I regret to inform you that there is little hope for their survival. The Air Force and Navy have cleansed these areas. I have been assured that there are no plans to cleanse other cities at this point, but they will not out rule the need to launch precision strikes at areas of high infestation.
  • Finally, the military wants to pass on that any protectorates and ad hoc governments that refuse to cooperation will be considered military targets. There have been a few unfortunate incidents that have led to this decision. They are hoping to not have to fire on living Americans, but will do what it takes for the sake of our great nation.
God bless and hang in there.

Craig Swamprider, Acting Mayor.
